Harding University in Australasia (HUA) HUA is conducted during the Fall. NOTE: The country that hosts this program changes each year (see below). In even years, beginning Fall 2010, the program will be based in Australia. This year the group will also travel to New Zealand, Vietnam and Cambodia. At the beginning of the semester, students will fly to Sydney, Australia, a cultural center brimming with museums, classical music, theater and architectural wonders. While in Sydney, students are given a professional tour of the Opera House. Other program field trips are planned to the Australian Outback, the South Pacific which includes the Great Barrier Reef, and the South Island of New Zealand. HUA students live in condominiums opposite the beach on the Gold Coast, an hours drive from Brisbane. When not in classes time is often spent on the beach, surfing, playing sports or shopping. In odd years, beginning Fall 2011, the program will be based in an Asian country, with trips likely to include Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and China.
